Richard Kwan is an experienced practitioner of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Chinese Nutritional therapy, Tuina massage and Medical Qi Gong. His practice integrates systems of Chinese medicine including Chinese, Japanese, Five Elements, Alchemy, Tung and Tan Style Acupuncture. He has extensive experience in chronic pain management, infertility, gynecological disorders, stress, anxiety, insomnia, digestive disorders, skin disorders, asthma and allergies.  His treatments involves minimal needles based on Acupuncture Meridian Systems with the emphasis on Spirit cultivation through Qi Gong, harmony of seven emotions and five elements.

Upon graduation from the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2008, Richard founded Simple Cures – Integrative Medicine Clinic and has been in private practice in Vaughan and The Beaches. He is currently the Senior Advisor and lectures extensively at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Academy.

Richard is very passionate about working with the disadvantaged and volunteers extensively at Evergreen Centre for Street Youth and People with Aids. In addition, he has a strong commitment to Tai Chi and Qi Gong which he has practiced for over 20 years. He teaches Tai Chi at the downtown YMCA to promote health and prevent disease. Richard believes that a simple lifestyle promotes better health and he strives to empower his patients to become more proactive with their own health.
